Overview:
NDDS, the leader in furniture and fixture manufacturing has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SolidWorks Detailer within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed part designs in SolidWorks and installation guides using 3D drawings of all company products for use by in-house and contracted installers.
Responsibilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD & SolidWorks
• Basic knowledge of wood cabinetry construction, preferred
• Familiarity with installation and commercial construction methods
• Ability to take projects from concept designs through to construction documentation
• Project Management skills a plus
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual contributor
• Must be a proactive, self-starter who is highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• High regard for superior customer service
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Associates degree in computer-aided drafting preferred
• Minimum 2 to 3 years or more of experience creating 3D exploded drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Physical Demands: While performing duties of the job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions. The noise, light, sound, and temperature levels are usually moderate and typical of an office environment.
